Waconia City Council approves event permit, advances infrastructure studies, awards trail contract, and provides for 2026 bond issues
At the April 6, 2026 meeting Mayor Litfin called the meeting to order (Council Member Coleman absent). Council adopted the consent agenda; approved a Special Event Permit for the Waconia Farmers Market; ordered feasibility studies for the 5th Street/Highway 5 area reconstruction and a Public Services Office expansion; authorized a cold storage design addendum; awarded the CSAH 10 Regional Trail Connector construction contract; and approved resolutions providing for General Obligation Bonds Series 2026A ($9,520,000) and 2026B ($3,265,000) and calling a public hearing on additional street reconstruction bonds. A quarterly law enforcement update was presented. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
