What this means
The Commission confirmed staffing changes and promotions that determine who fills several police and emergency communications positions. Commissioners adopted an update to police procedures that clarifies officers’ responsibility to intervene and report when other officers use force inappropriately. The Commission also recorded reports about vehicle pursuits and recent MPD procedure changes; a review of whether low‑priority calls could be handled by non‑sworn responders was postponed for future consideration.
