What this means
The school district reported about 3,200 students in Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways, strong credential and graduation outcomes, growing internship placements, and planned program expansions at North Division funded in part by a $2.4M board investment. City and school staff described the COIN program that gives hiring preference to City residents on construction projects and reported COIN participation exceeded its target last year. The council agreed to host a youth-led Project Kindred event at the July meeting and moved forward with planning a pilot to strengthen industry connections and job pipelines at North Division.
