Communication for the approval of the January 27, 2026 meeting minutes.

GENERAL HEARING

Communication from the Department of Public Works, Operations Division-Forestry Services, to extend the temporary appointment for Joshua Yumang, Urban Forestry Crew Leader, for 6-months, retroactive from January 4, 2026, through June 6, 2026. This is the first extension request.

Communication from the Milwaukee Water Works to establish a Probationary Period after Reinstatement for Lucas Skowronek, Accounting Coordinator II.

Communication from the Department of Administration-Information and Technology Management Division, to extend the probationary period for Donald Turner, Programmer Analyst, for 6-months, from March 3, 2026, through September 6, 2026.

Communication from the Milwaukee Water Works to extend the temporary appointment for the following Water Distribution Investigators, for 90-days, from March 1, 2026, through June 6, 2026: 1. Korea Dalton 2. Levar Wells 3. Deviell Burks This is the first extension request.

Communication from the Milwaukee Water Works to extend the temporary appointment for John Bielinski, Water Plants Manager, for 2-months, retroactive from February 1, 2026, through March 28, 2026. This is the first extension request.

Communication from the Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, to extend the temporary appointment for 3-months, from March 1, 2026, through June 6, 2026, for the following City Laborers: 1. Jacob Hoffer 2. Robert Smith This is the first extension request.

Communication from the Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, requesting the early termination of the probationary period for Brennan DeSwarte, Engineering Technician IV.

Communication from the Department of Public Works to extend the temporary appointment for Larry Hughes, Street Repair Supervisor, for 6-months, retroactive from February 15, 2026, through August 15, 2026. This is the first extension request.

Communication from the Department of Public Works, Operations Division-Sanitation Services, to extend the temporary appointment for the following Program Assistant III positions, for 1-year, from March 1, 2026, through March 1, 2027: 1. Lisa Beilke 2. Patrice Christopher This is the first extension request.

Communication from the Department of Public Works, Operations Division-Sanitation Services, to extend the temporary appointment for Camille McBee, Program Assistant 1, for 1-year, from February 23, 2026, through February 23, 2027. This is the first extension request.

Communication from the Department of Public Works, Operations Division, Fleet Services, to extend the temporary appointment for Jose Fuentes Zazueta, Fleet Repair Manager, for 1-year, from March 7, 2026, through March 7, 2027. This is the second extension request.

PUBLIC HEARING

Communication from the Milwaukee Health Department to pass the probation period for Kudvaet Salas, Program Assistant III.

Communication from the Milwaukee Health Department for the application of Rule VIII, Section 3 Selective Certification, to fill the Health Project Supervisor position, Pay Range 1GX, in the Milwaukee Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Awareness Program.

Communication regarding the review of the Unstipulated Exhibits in the Omar Barberena Appeal case.

ADJOURNMENT

In the event that Common Council members who are not members of this committee attend this meeting, this meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of the following committees: Community and Economic Development, Finance and Personnel, Judiciary and Legislation, Licenses, Public Safety and Health, Public Works, Zoning, Neighborhoods & Development, and/or Steering and Rules. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting.
