City Council accepts $4.4M grant, approves mitigation bank purchase and adopts multiple land‑use and waterways ordinances
At the September 2, 2025 regular meeting, Mayor Scott Stiltner and Council received a $4.4 million check from Senator Tom Wright for resiliency and environmental initiatives; the consent agenda (including a Cooperative Economic Development Agreement, humane society services, a biosolids hauling amendment, and the Webster Creek Mitigation Bank reservation/purchase) was approved unanimously; Council adopted rezoning Ordinance No. 2025-20 and waterways Ordinance No. 2025-21 (establishing a PATON plan for the Riverwalk Park Day Dock), and adopted multiple Land Development Code amendments (Ordinances 2025-23, 2025-24, 2025-25).
