Port Orange City Council Regular Meeting — April 15, 2025: Consent approvals, budget amendments, zoning actions
Council approved the consent agenda including contract awards for wrecker services and a CMAR for a river crossing water main, a task authorization for water main coordination, second-quarter FY24-25 budget amendments, and FDOT agreements for sidewalk gaps and a Dunlawton turn lane ROW phase. A Citizen Commendation was presented. Council approved Ordinance No. 2025-11 (Summer Trees Plaza PCD amendment) on second reading (3-2). First readings for Ordinance No. 2025-12 (5656 Isabelle rezoning to Professional Office) and Ordinance No. 2025-13 (4619 & 4629 Clyde Morris rezoning to Community Commercial) were approved unanimously. Council recognized volunteers and public safety personnel; staff noted an estimated ~$800,000 annual savings from a new lime disposal process.
