Port Orange City Council approves consent agenda including FDOT turn‑lane agreement and hazard mitigation acquisition; okays two historic tree removals
At the March 3, 2026 regular meeting, City Council approved the consent agenda (including minutes, lease reassignment with Flagsticks Bar & Grill, FDOT LAP agreement for Clyde Morris Boulevard turn lanes, participation in a Hazard Mitigation Grant to acquire 4490 Spruce Creek Road, an animal control interlocal amendment, and purchase of 846 Bears Trail for a stormwater project). Council unanimously approved removal of two historic live oak trees (164 Sweetgum Lane and 5952 Riverside Drive), waiving mitigation fees and authorizing a license agreement for the Riverside Drive removal. Other items: recognition of Government Finance Professionals Week, updates from the Port Orange South Daytona Chamber of Commerce and KemperSports (Cypress Head Golf), and several board/pension updates.
