Port Orange City Council approves budget adjustments, FEMA grant task authorizations, and waives rezoning waiting period; holds first reading of CIP update
At the November 18, 2025 Regular City Council meeting, Council approved the Consent Agenda including multiple FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance grant task authorizations with Pegasus Engineering and a change order for the Jackson/Oak Street Drainage project; accepted the 2025 Annual Concurrency Management Report; adopted resolutions amending retirement plans to implement the SECURE Acts and making FY2024-25 year-end and FY2025-26 capital roll-forward budget amendments; unanimously approved First Reading of Ordinance No. 2025-29 updating the Comprehensive Plan Capital Improvement Element (FY2026–2030); waived the 12-month waiting period for a new rezoning application for the Vintage Acres site; appointed Paul Salerno to the General Employee's Pension Board; and received updates on parks & recreation bond projects, ArtHaus, and public safety concerns including pedestrian/bike safety.
