Port Orange City Council adopts land-use ordinances, utility fee schedule, budget amendments and accepts safety grants
The Port Orange City Council met January 13, 2026. Council adopted three ordinances (comprehensive plan amendment, rezoning, and land development code amendment for certified recovery residences), approved first-quarter FY25-26 budget amendments, adopted a new schedule of utility fees, authorized several contracts and change orders, accepted FDOT enforcement grants, and approved the partial vacation of a tree conservation easement (4-1). Public comments focused on utility rates, recycling, water quality, and animal programs. Staff provided updates on the Riverwalk property and a boat ramp project.
