City Council meeting summary
The Oldsmar City Council approved its Consent Docket (including minutes, payment for April legal services, and the appointment of Amber Stephens to the Planning Board), adopted resolutions revising the Charitable Donation Policy and establishing an Auditor Selection Committee, and approved the first reading of Ordinance 2026-07 to modify an Industrial Planned Development at 4021 Tampa Road. Council accepted the Classification and Compensation Study and authorized staff to implement its recommendations. The Council reached consensus on Stormwater Master Plan Plan 4, which includes a one-time 37% increase to the stormwater utility fee plus annual CPI-based increases to fund projects through 2041. The Council also approved an amendment to the solid waste franchise with Coastal Waste & Recycling, approved agreements for several community events and park/recreation uses (including the USA BMX Gator Nationals on October 23–25, 2026), and directed the City Attorney to draft a revision to the golf cart code for park roads and parking lots.
