City Council approves multiple rezoning actions, appropriations, board appointments, and policy ordinances; towing and Emerald Trail acquisitions introduced
At its April 28, 2026 meeting the Jacksonville City Council approved a large consent agenda (with two items pulled), enacted zoning and land-use actions including PUD amendments and waivers, adopted budget/governance changes, approved several economic development and downtown preservation actions, confirmed multiple board appointments, and approved emergency participation in a national pharmacy settlement. The Council introduced ordinances on towing/storage rules and an Emerald Trail land-acquisition appropriation (including eminent domain authorization) for later hearings.
