Council approves Crosstown contracts, restricts beach vending, advances undergrounding and CRS initiatives
At the July 7, 2025 regular meeting the Destin City Council approved construction and CEI contract actions for the Crosstown Connector, voted to withhold the Connector's connection to Stahlman Avenue until intersection improvements are funded or completed, authorized participation in an Okaloosa County public information program to pursue a higher CRS flood-insurance rating, approved undergrounding-related conduit work and a future uniform light-pole ordinance, and prohibited most public beach vending (bonfires excepted). Consent agenda and several minutes were also approved.
