Landmarks Commission approves fence and business sign; requires floodway verification
At the March 26, 2026 Landmarks Commission meeting, members approved the February 12, 2026 minutes, approved a proposed 6' cedar stockade replacement fence at W63 N664-66 Washington Avenue with conditions including that the decorative side face the adjoining property and that the applicant verify the regulated floodway boundary via elevation survey/floodplain analysis prior to placement, and approved a new freestanding business sign for Ivy Junction at N61 W6321 Turner Street with placement and appearance specifications. David and Michele Larson spoke claiming long-term occupation of the area where the fence would be placed; the commission noted that ownership-by-occupation is outside its jurisdiction. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. and adjourned at 9:08 a.m.
